The Mechanism Of Network Site And Knowledge Transfer On Competitive Advantages Of Cluster Enterprises

In the knowledge-based economic era, an open and collaborative innovation network-mode is being adopted by enterprises in the process of innovation. The cluster enterprises acquire technology and knowledge constantly by joining or constructing innovation networks that favor their own development and promote the ability of technological innovation and management innovation to establish and intensify their competitive advantages. However, the innovation resources are not evenly distributed within the network. The network site of cluster enterprises has important influence on knowledge transfer, organizational innovation and competitive advantage. Enterprises occupy a favorable network site has a higher income and control gains, can provide a continuing source of knowledge for innovation activities, enhance the position and advantages of the enterprises in market competition.In this study, we used the method of field research and survey, analyzed the innovation network structure of Wenzhou Leqing low-voltage electrical industry cluster within eighty companies, six university research institution and four industry associations. And the paper studied the site of every innovation subject, explored the mechanism of network site and knowledge transfer infused on competitive advantage of cluster enterprise by using empirical analysis and case analysis methods, draw some meaningful conclusions. Network site has significantly positive effects on knowledge transfer and organizational innovation; network site is not directly impact on the competitive advantage of the cluster enterprises, knowledge transfer and organizational innovation play fully mediated function in this process; knowledge transfer not only improves organizational innovation effectively, but also competitive advantages; organizational innovation plays a positive impact on competitive advantages; as the important part of the cluster innovation network, university research institutions and industry associations plays an significant role in knowledge transfer and innovation activities of entire network.Finally, the research put forward some countermeasures to promote the organizational innovation and establish competitive advantages of Wenzhou Leqing low-voltage electrical industry cluster from four aspects of cluster enterprises, government departments, university research institutions and industry associations. In addition, the paper pointed out the deficiencies in the study and future prospects.
