Pro-Poor Tourism is a way that helps poor and underdeveloped areas to alleviate poverty and become rich,which is based on tourism resources.It has achieved remarkable results in many areas and becomes more and more valuable and popular.And it is a new way to promote the development of poor areas. Minority women are regarded as vulnerable groups among the relevant interest groups during the tourism development process,who are paid more and more attention by experts in tourism field.Their participation plays a key role in the success of pro-poor tourism.In this paper, the ethnic minority women were regarded as research subjects,and then I took Hunan Jianghua Yao Autonomous County women as a case to discuss their participation situation.This paper was guided by Pro-Poor Tourism and based on Sustainable development theory,Stakeholder Theory,Tourism multiplier theory and Gender analysis theory.On the premise of some research on minority women’ s participation content and understanding the tourism development situation in minority areas, this paper did some questionnaire and face-to-face interview with the minority women in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County of Hunan province. And then analyzed the current situation of the minority women’s participation in tourism development.Finally,according to the tourism resources in the case area, it pointed out some existed questions and proposed corresponding measures.
