Science and technology is an important factor of the poverty alleviation work. It is the main impetus for the famers in poverty-stricken areas to realize economy development and lift famers out of poverty. In the new century, that science and technology help the deficient is paid important attention in the poverty alleviation work. Base on this background, the model of technology-oriented poverty reduction has being formed in the science and technology poverty reduction strategy. On the basis of a comprehensive review of science and technology being the first productive forces, the transforming traditional agriculture and investment in human resource theory and the new-classical theory of economic growth, and the evaluation of the science and technology help the deficient, the model and operating mechanism for technology-oriented poverty reduction, the paper selects4models that are "Gua Bao Bang" technology-oriented poverty reduction model, leading company supporting model, fixed-point poverty alleviation model and famer professional cooperative supporting poor model in Sichuan Province for study. This research is based on the investigation of6poor villages in different4impoverished countries in Sichuan Province and takes the qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate the effect and the operating mechanism of these models.Firstly, in the background of science and technology pattern of poverty relief in Sichuan Province, the paper puts forward four definitions that are "Gua Bao Bang" technology-oriented poverty reduction model, leading company supporting model, fixed-point poverty alleviation model and famer professional cooperative supporting poor model. Then based on the analysis of four cases, it analyzes the mechanism of the main body, the elements and the poverty object in these models and their specific effects. According to the detailed analysis above, it comments on the four models and points out their characteristics and deficiencies. Secondly, the four villages that are Yulu village, XiaMachang village, FoGuisi village and Bajiao village are taken as comparison objects, and their data on poverty alleviation is taken as different Decision Making Units (DMU), then the paper gets the result that is the advantage and disadvantage ordering of the4models by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). As the distinguish between the input factors and anti-poverty mechanism in technology-oriented poverty reduction modes, there are distinct different performance among the modes, even though that turns up in the same mode at different years. On the whole, the best performance is the leading company supporting mode whose typical case is the good effect of anti-poverty in Xia ma chang Village. Form2003to2010, in addition to2008, effect of anti-poverty in this village got optimal. And the performance of anti-poverty in Fo gui si Village where the poverty alleviation began in2002achieved the first best in2009and2010. However, the performance of famer professional cooperative supporting poor mode is instability. It got the optimal effect in2008, but from2009to2010there was the effectiveness. At last, based on the above analysis and comparison, it proposes the innovative model that are the government and leading enterprise are taken the double main bodies for the science and technology poverty relief. And the paper provides some policy suggestions for the poverty alleviation that are about decision-making and participation mechanism, strengthening poverty relief funds investment, cultivating modern agriculture industry, improving the supervision mechanism and paying an attention to human capital investment.
