Our Country Low-rent Housing Policy Research

In pace with the continuously deep-going housing reform, as well as the rapidly rising housing prices in recent years, the housing problem of the low-income family becomes more and more serious, which causing experts, scholars and the government for concern. As a kind of social security policies of our government for the minimum-income family, the low-rent housing policy is a necessary part of the new housing system and an important guarantee of social stability and long-term peace in the country. Therefore, we should pay great attention on the research of the low-rent housing policy, so as to promote the low-rent housing law and system, perfect the management and supervision of the low-rent housing operation, boost the supply of the low-rent houses. It is of vital significance whether to continue to deepen the housing reform, to guarantee the people’s rights to live, or to relieve the contradictions of unfair distribution, and to maintain social stability.By beginning with the basic conception and theory, this article first summarizes the characteristic, history, content and current situation of the low-rent housing policies. In Chapter2, it mainly makes analysis of the existing problems of the low-rent housing policies now in China, such as, lack of sources, lack of funds and so on. In Chapter3, the article analyzes the successful experience of low-rent housing policies in developed western countries and points out that the success of the low-rent housing policy in western countries is a combination of factors, such as, perfect legal system, sound financial system, professional organization, flexible system design. In Chapter4, on the ground of analysis of successful low-rent housing policies in foreign countries, with aiming to solve the problems existing now, Measures should be taken. Finally, this article also proposes to speed up the development of housing support in order to make more and more people to live in their own home.
