Lean production originates from Toyota’s way of production management,TPS and shocks the whole manufacturing industry as a brand new mode ofproduction operation generated after the production line for assembly of singleparts in a small lot and large quantity. An expert at Massachusetts Institute ofTechnology, USA, summarizes it as lean production management. Such a modeof production minimizes the cost, raises the efficiency and satisfies customers’demand to the greatest extent by eliminating all kinds of wastes in the enterpriseto the maximum.There are a lot of medium or small-sized enterprises in China, with most ofwhich possessing a low technology content. There is not much limitation forentering the industry. Success or failure of an enterprise or country dependsupon good management. It is becomes a key issue as how to introduce anadvanced management mode into medium or small-sized enterprises to makethem develop rapidly and healthily. It appears to be particularly important ashow to make them scientific and efficient organizations. At present, mostmedium or small-sized enterprises lag behind in terms of management, with aserious phenomenon of waste. It is an important issue drawing general attentionof modern enterprises and to be solved as how to introduce lean production intoZC companies in order to eliminate waste and raise the efficiency. In this paper,first hand information is obtained through visiting relevant enterprises anddepartments and their successful experience is analyzed and summarized, basedon which a deep systematic study is carried out on introduction of the leanproduction management mode into ZC companies. The paper consists of sixchapters:Chapter1: Preface, which describes the present situation of themanufacturing industry, both domestic and external, as well as the relevant leanproduction theory. Chapter2: Theory and Methodology of Lean Production Management,which describes in detail systematically the lean production from generation todevelopment.Chapter3: Introduction of ZC Companies and Situation of ProductionSystem Prior to Implementation of Lean Production Management, whichanalyzes the production system of ZC companies, finds out the disadvantages ofthe existing production system and set forth further the urgency to implementlean production management.Chapter4: Study on Implementation of Lean Production Management inZC Companies, which studies implementation of lean production in ZCcompanies in terms of allocation of production, pull production, signboardmanagement and lean logistics by analyzing the value flow of enterprises.Chapter5: Analysis of Results of Lean Production Management in ZCCompanies, which analyzes and assesses the results of lean productionmanagement in ZC companies.Chapter6: Summary and Prospect. Medium and small-sized domesticenterprises can implement lean production in order to improve the integralmanagement skill of enterprises and enhance their competition strength.
