The trade disputes is not avoidable in international trade. Along with the speeding upof the globalization, there are more and more trade disputes between China and the UnitedStates. Because of the two countries’ special positions in the world, the influencing factorsof trade disputes between China and the United states are complicated. This dissertationresearched the influencing factors of trade disputes between China and the United States,and then analyzed the relationship between these factors and the internationalcompetitiveness of China export industry. After that, we can infer the future trend of thetwo countries’ trade disputes and find the corresponding solutions. We can also reduce thetrade disputes and improve the international competitiveness of China export industry. It isimportant for China to keep the position in the world.Firstly, this dissertation introduced the process and types of the two countries’ tradedisputes. There are three phases in the process. The types include anti-dumping tradedisputes, anti-subsidy trade disputes, product-specific safeguard mechanism tradedisputes and intellectual property right trade disputes. Secondly, this dissertationanalyzed the influencing factors of trade disputes between China and the United Statesfrom three aspects. Then this dissertation empirically discussed the relationship betweenthese factors and the international competitiveness of iron industry, chemical industry andelectronic industry, whose products have very serious trade disputes. It draws the followingconclusion. The global economic growth rate can positively improve the internationalcompetitiveness of China electronic industry and doesn’t have any obvious impact on theinternational competitiveness of China iron and chemical industries. The percent rate ofgovernment debt in GDP has very light impact on the international competitiveness of thethree industries. GDP in the United states and the unemployment rate in manufacturingindustry in the United states have negative impact on the international competitiveness ofsome industries and doesn’t have any obvious impact on others. The trade deficit betweenChina and the United states and political factors doesn’t have any obvious impact. Thedegree of dependence on foreign trade has negative impact on the international competitiveness of chemical industry and doesn’t have obvious impact on the internationalcompetitiveness of iron industry and electronic industry. Finally, according to empiricalresults, this dissertation proposed the corresponding recommendations.
