Agriculture is the foundation of national economy in China and also the guarantee to support the development and progress of whole national economy. Meanwhile, agriculture is most influenced by weather. Climatic change is always an important reason of fluctuation in agricultural production.With the increasingly deep process of reform and open, the agriculture, village and farmers in China have changed a lot with the development of era. Developing modern agriculture with weather knowledge has become the common aspiration of most farmers. In recent years, weather short message has played an important role in disaster prevention and increasing both production and income for and well received by farmers because of it is accurate, timely, targeted and convenient to receive, etc. However, under the existing supply system, some problems are standing out in the face of the rapid growth of demand for weather short message for village, such as insufficient quantity of supply, unbalanced structure, low efficiency, unequal area and so on. Under the condition of limited funding and staffing, meteorological department needs to provide sufficient and high-quality weather short message, marketization is a necessary exploration to solve these problems except relying on the public welfare platform invested by government.Therefore, the paper conducts a selective analysis on the project of weather short message in Heze city of Shandong province by applying related theory of public products for village and makes an useful exploration of marketization supply of weather short message for village to discuss the new thought for enhancing the supply mode of such kind of public products for village.The paper is introduction about the research background, research object and research status of the topic. And analyses public products attributes of weather short message and the feasibility of its marketization based on the concept of and supply theory of public products for village. Points out the existing problems such as insufficient supply quantity, unbalanced supply structure, low efficiency of supply and serious regional contradiction through the analysis of current status of the supply of weather short message for village in China. Takes the weather short message project in Heze city of Shandong province as the analyzing object, then summarizes the problems and challenges of the marketization of weather short message for village through actual survey and research. Then puts forward four suggestions to strengthen the marketization of weather short message for village: increasing government investment and create good environment; deepen the knowledge and improve the management level; change roles and promote the reform of department system; speed up the legislation process of weather short message market management.
