This paper is about the pre-evaluation of Chen Jiagang supercritical coal-fired unit construction project.The construction of the project can ease regional tensions in the power supply, can be beneficial to the development of local economy, improve the power distribution and the safety of the electric operation, play the advantage of coal power integration, and ensure the power production.In the project investment analysis and decision-making process, the pre-evaluation of construction project has a very important position and role, it is an essential work processes in decision-making process and it provides direct evidence for projects. This paper firstly described the research background and the current situation of the research at home and abroad, systematically analyzed the theory, method and content of the pre-evaluation of project. Based on the electric load forecasting, it discussed the necessity of the construction of this project; from the transportation, water resources, geology and other aspects to analyze of the project site selection; It expounded the project’s fuel conditions,such as coal conditions, land resources, water resources, limestone resources; systematically analyze the project investment, carried out a analysis of the economic benefits and sensitive; gave a comprehensive evaluation of the project risk and economic and social influence; finally, came to the conclusion that Chen Jiagang supercritical coal-fired unit construction project is reasonable and feasible.
