As of2011, the number of various types of farmer cooperatives in China has more than480,000homes, entrance farmers38.7million, accounting for about15.5%of the totalnumber of rural households. The joint practice of grassroots development to a certainextent is an urgent need for theoretical guidance.In this paper, a literature study, model analysis and normative analysis and empiricalanalysis of the combined method are used for the co-operatives, the Association of the theoryare reviewed; use the basic theory and method of agricultural economics, institutionaleconomics and other disciplines of cooperatives reason, purpose and significance of the joint,the onrush of cooperatives joint, the formation of the form and function of the Association;method of game theory has made an economic analysis of the union of cooperatives; Finally,the two existing a union as a representative case analysis, analysis of the problems of jointsocio-economic development, and put forward suggestions.The results show that the vicious competition between the joint between farmercooperatives to avoid cooperatives to achieve larger economies of scale, reduce transactioncosts and expenses, and the promotion of vertically integrated operations, improve marketdiscourse, enhance the brand benefit, simultaneously can enhance the anti-risk ability tomaintain the stable development of the cooperatives.
