The Reasearch Of China’s Grain Security Under The Condition Of Resource Shortage

Grain security has always been an overall global strategic issues related to nationaleconomy development and social stablility and national independence. Generate rulersregarded it as a top priority to safeguarding the country boat. Nowadays,grain security andenergy security and finance security are called three-security-issue of these days, all thecountries attach great importance of these. Grain security are the big things begins and endswith something related to national security, political stability and peace of the people.The CPC Central Committee and the State Council have always attached greatimportance to food safety, and placed this work on a prominent position In recent years,China’s grain production developed stablly, maintain a stable situation on the grain marketin general, China’s grain security situation is generally better.However, in the long run, thegrain security situation in our country is facing serious challenges, the situation is notoptimistic.There are several factors affect grain security in China: the energy crisis isgradually emerging, chemical agriculture crisis, declining arable land, worsening pollution,the growing tension of water resources, the the climate uncertainty increases, the system ofsupporting the stable development of grain productionhas not yet beenestablished.Therefore, how to ensure grain security in the new situation is particularlyimportant, this paper analyzes the proposed policy recommendations to ensure grainsecurity.This paper consists of five parts.The first part of the paper deseribes the significance of the research. China is apopulous country, it’s a very important strategic significance to our nation to solve foodproblem for over one billion people.The second part of the paper elaborates the relationship between food securityresources. First, introduced the tremendous achievements of American petroleumagriculture; Then, introduced that the grain production and resource input has a greatrelationship.but,over-reliance on a huge investment of resources may limit our country’sfood security in the future.The third section elaborates about the resource status quo of China’s grain production.The resources of our country is gradually emerging crisis clues, it’s worthy of our attention.The fourth section describes the instance of the resource crisis led to the food crisis. Manycountries of Africa is rich in agricultural resources and food is still dependent on imports；in different，North Korea is a typical case of a food crisis due to the lack of agriculturalresources.The fifth section presents the countermeasures and suggestions to ensure our foodsecurity. These recommendations include the protection of cultivated land quantity andquality, strengthen the construction of water conservancy facilities, emphasis on theprotection of farmers’ production, the protection of China’s energy security and thedevelopment of agricultural science and technology, etc.
