The growing prosperity of E-commerce has given rise to the increasing financial needs. With the new business opportunities emerging, some of the e-commerce enterprises have begun to set foot in the financial market, which consequently brings some impact to the main businesses of the banks to some degree. Meanwhile, with the marketization of interest rates and the narrowing gap of deposits and loans, the competition among banks will definitely turn fiercer and fiercer. To search for new customers and create new profits growth areas by on-line financial business are the major issues the banking industry is anxious to deal with. Therefore, various commercial banks have been involved in the e-commerce in order to seek the new channel to boost their financial service. In June of2012, China Construction Bank took the lead to introduce its new e-commerce financial service platform "Shanrong Business" with its professional financial service as the main attraction to customers. Having been launched for half an year,"Shanrong Business" has realized the lending of3billion RMB to have a great start. Soon, many other banks like Bank of Communications, etc. announced the launch of their e-commerce platforms one after another.This essay makes analysis of modes of e-commerce platforms of commercial banks in the following four aspects:Overview of electronic commerce, overview of the development of China Construction Bank, modes of e-commerce platforms of banks and the strategies of developing e-commerce platforms by the banking industry.Firstly, introduce the rise and development of electronic commerce, Classification of the main business platform model, Analysis of the basic situation of the development of electric business platform of bank.And then make a comprehensive analysis object of this case study of China Construction Bank, including its historical background, current development status and business platform.Thirdly, it analyses the modes of e-commerce platforms by banks. To start with the organizational management, division of different job responsibilities, business areas and risk management of the banks, the essay mainly focuses on how the commercial banks develop, manage, maintain and expand the business of e-commerce platforms by integrating their advantageous resources such as their exiting organization management, state-of-art technology and professional financial service products, in order to find out the emergent problem commercial banks need to tackle in developing e-commerce platforms at present.Finally, the essay provides a few suggestions for the future development of e-commerce platforms of commercial banks. To develop e-business, the commercial banks must learn from some successful large-scale e-business enterprises and rely on their professional financial services. In addition, in banks, reforms need to be implemented in doing business while cross-field cooperation and coordination should be achieved out of the banks to adapt to the new requirements the market has raised for the banking industry to develop its e-business.
