The themed hotel since Madonna Inn in California in the United States in1958launched thefirst themed room has been more than50years. In our country in2002the first themed hotelVenetia Hotel had opened in Shenzhen and then themed hotel industry developed rapidly andneed to be standardized. At present the tourism administrations in several domestic provincesand cities, hotel industry association and industry insiders pay attention to the development andconstruction of themed hotel, rules about evaluation have been discussed and more professionalsattach importance to relevant theories.With the national tourism leisure plan issued, the national will greet the arrival of the era ofleisure tourism. The design and promotion of tourism and leisure products become the primarytask of the industry operators. According different personality to design this kind of products fordifferent needs of customers need to target market. Personality means of differentiation anddiversification. Accommodation, catering, traffic, visiting, shopping and entertainment as the sixelements of tour all can be more personalized which will enrich tourism products. For the hotel,it not only provides food and shelter for visitors, but also shopping and entertainment functions,such a hotel provides not only services for tourists, but also an experience for them. Thisexperience will become memories attract them back again. Hotel to provide personalizedexperience for the customer, inevitable need a theme. The construction of cultural themed hotel,from the enterprise itself, is the enterprise value promotion needs. From the view of industry,cultural themed hotel is the adjustment of the industrial structure needs. Themed hoteldevelopment can promote the development of cultural industries, improve hotel taste,development of experience tourism, promote industry differentiation competition.The bureau of tourism and the hotel industry association in Shandong province for thedevelopment of cultural themed hotel attach great importance to and introduce relevantevaluation standard. Based on the participation in the formulation of standards work, fromrelated concept of experience economy and culture themed hotel, expounds the the meaning andnecessity of cultural themed hotel in the experience economy. Through the market survey inQufu in Shandong Province about the region cultural themed hotel, it shows the market has ahuge attraction on it. However, compared with the current situation, several problems were foundsuch as the market lack of a summary about the key elements in constructing the cultural themed hotel, lack of standardized theoretical directions. As above mentioned, through the analysis of acase, elements of the cultural themed hotel were summarized, elaborated from the aspects ofcultural theme, environment, product, management. In the end several proposals were putforward. Suggestions were mentioned such as enhance the connotation of culture theme, fix theposition and clear a theme according to the target market, enhance the competitiveness of thebrand. These suggestions can help to clear the management thinking about themed hotel inposition, design, construction, renovation.
