With the development of the growing popularity of the Internet, the network media is becoming one of the main medium to get scientific knowledge. The timely, fast, interactive, diversity of the communication via network has given new impetus to the development of science and technology communication. How to utilize the network media better for transmission of science and technology, and how to improve the network media’s influence on the dissemination of science and technology is an important issue for us.This paper firstly analyzes the current situation of network communication on science and technology, and the current science popularization website is divided into two major categories: specialized and non-professional ones, meanwhile I summarized the effects of network transmission on science and technology communication and the current citizen’s situation. The network communication of science and technology in our country is still in the initial stage, also did not give full play to its advantages. at the same time, it can’t meet the people’s demand, especially the public emergencies science. Currently the studies on the spread of science and technology are mostly limited to this, lacking of further research, but here the author tries to innovation, linking theory with practice through empirical research method. This paper formats the evaluation method of network media influence by dividing the generation process of the network media’s influence into four stages, analyzing four influencing factors, and the influence of the two kinds of websites were investigated, so we can see the quantitative and qualitative research in this paper. Finally, based on the previous research, the author put forward to suggestion for communication of science and technology by internet from several factors, such as the communicator, content, communication channels, branding website and opinion leaders development strategy from the communicator, communication content, communication channels, brand and opinion leaders.
