With unprecedented industrialization and urbanization,a large number of peasantworkers have went into cities.As time goes on,new generation of migrant workers havereplaced older generation and became hard core of labor force in China.Accordingincomplete statistics, the number of the new generation of migrant workers account formore than60%of the total number of migrant workers in China,it approach100millions.Therefore, the power and impact which they made in urban-rural economicand social development cannot be underestimated. In recent years,"labor shortage"which occurred in the southeast coast of China and spread to the central and westernprovinces had wake-up call for us. Affected by the reform and openness,high-speedeconomic development and information explosion, new generation of migrant workersdifferent from the older generation ones,they show great differences in some placessuch as employment status, rights safeguard, values, future vision and so on. Theirthought is active, demand is diverse, the legal knowledge, the equal consciousness andrights protection consciousness have the varying degrees enhancement, their outlook onlife and values, employment view are significantly different from the older generationof migrant workers.This study therefore take the new generation of migrant workers as the object ofstudy, by the questionnaire survey primarily, assists by the literature methodology andthe interview survey procedure, with self-developed Scale to probe into work valuesstructure of the new generation of migrant workers. With the SPSS19.0statisticssoftware,clear five-dimensional structure of work values of the new generation migrantworkers obtained after several exploratory factor analysis. Then, Combined formalgeneration of migrant workers work values questionnaire with revised Minnesota jobsatisfaction questionnaire, launched a nationwide survey, a total of346validquestionnaires. The study applied SPSS19.0and LISREL8.7to carried on theexploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis andregression analysis. The findings reveal that:Firstly, the structure of new generation of migrant worker work values containfive dimensions:self-realization, the self-growth, the external reward, the rightssafeguard and social prestige. Their importance from high to low is: the right safeguard,external reward, self-realization, self-growth, social prestige.Secondly, the new generation of migrant workers work values and job satisfaction is positively correlated, the correlation coefficient is0.604.Thirdly,the new generation of migrant workers work values are significantpredictors of job satisfaction. Therein to,the social prestige, the self-growth and rightssafeguard could explain34.9%of the total variance of intrinsic satisfaction; the socialprestige, the self-growth,the rights safeguard and external reward could explain31.1%of the total variance of extrinsic satisfaction; the social prestige,the self-growth, theright safeguard and external reward could explain38.2%of the total variance of jobsatisfaction.Fourthly,different demographic variables (gender, age, educational level,single-child, career planning, working age, income, etc.) have different impact on workvalues and job satisfaction of the new generation of migrant workers.Fifthly, different corporation background variables (enterprise scale) havedifferent impact on work values and job satisfaction of the new generation of migrantworkers.According to the above conclusions, combined with the characteristics presented inthe generation of migrant workers work values and job satisfaction, this paper gives theenterprise human resources management suggestions in five aspects from therecruitment, training, compensation, performance appraisal, at the same time, alsoprovides the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the government andthe new generation of migrant workers.
