With the in-depth development of urbanization, the city size expands rapidly. Manyvillages which are located in the city outskirts and urban fringe are surrounded by the cityand become urban-villages. The emergence of the urban-village is a product of urbanexpansion and it’s also an inevitable result of the rapid development of China’surbanization process. The urban-village is a special form of social space. Due to theexistence of the city and village dual system, urban-village’s generation has inevitability.When we are faced with the significance of the existence of the urban-village, we shouldbe an objective, scientific and impartial attitude. On the one hand, we should see thenegative side, and on the other hand, we should also see its positive role in promotingChina’s urbanization. Urban-village which has superior traffic advantages, adequatehousing and low prices has become the first choice of residence for urban migrant workersand the low-income which are housing vulnerable groups. Urban-village provides a habitatfor the housing vulnerable groups and the migrant workers are an important force in thedevelopment of modern urbanization. So, urban-village promotes the process ofurbanization to a certain extent. But in the process of urbanization, urban-village problemsbecome an important factor that restricts the development of China’s urbanization process.Therefore, urban-village’s transformation becomes inevitable choice for promoting theurbanization process. Old city transformation and housing demolition become urbandevelopment trend. There is no doubt that urban-village located in the city is the focus ofthe transformation. That is to say, the existence of urban-village is only a stage in theprocess of urbanization. The housing security function that is provided by urban-villageshould only ever be temporary.Under the reality of the rapid expansion of urban space，All levels of governments puttransformation urban-village on the agenda. Although the existence of urban-villagerestricts the development of urbanization, everything has both advantages anddisadvantages. In addition to its beneficial effect of urbanization, whether there are alsosome of the negative effects after the completion of urban-village transformation?
