With the development of the science technology, the monitoring and controlsystem of wastewater treatment plant develops fast. Through understanding ofthe monitoring and control system of wastewater treatment plant developmentpresent situation, found that the many small wastewater treatment plant needremote monitoring system, which not only save manpower and material resources,but also reduce the cost. Therefore to design a remote monitoring system of thesmall wastewater treatment plant is very significant.In this paper, we design an remote monitoring system of the wastewatertreatment plant based on ARM, which use the embedded, PLC control, wirelessnetwork technology. In order to prevent theft and supervise the nonstaff into thefactory and monitor center analysis condition of the wastewater treatment timely.The monitor system designed in this paper is to collect scene image of thewastewater treatment plant, and to collect effluent parameters (PH value, flow,temperature, COD, suspended matter concentration) of wastewater treatmentplant, Then it will send the collected images and data to the monitoring centerthrough radio network, send every5minute, and it ensures the delivery accurateand timely.The monitoring terminal in this system uses the low power microprocessorARM STM32F103RBT6as the main processor, which is the new Cortex M3kernel. The main control circuit, the power supply circuit and the interface circuitof camera, GPRS, PLC and the main controller are all designed in this system; Ituses the GXT M201camera module whose internal is integration in JPEG imagecompression functional to complete the image collection; Use Siemens S7200 PLC module to collect the effluent parameters of wastewater treatment plant; UseMicro SD card to be storage module; Adopt the GPRS module TR800which issuit to TCP/IP protocol to realize transmission of the collected images and data;Lower computer software adopts Embedded Workbench software developmentenvironment which is provided by IAR, and the software and hardware designscheme is given. In this paper, we also do the experiment of collecting andtransmitting of the images and data of the whole monitoring and control system,the test result is also given.The remote monitoring and control system designed in this paper has thebasic ability of remote monitoring, which has stable performance and highreliability. The modular design make it simple to maintenance of the system andexpanding of the functions. It also lays a good foundation for the futureimprovement.
