The Design And Research Of Children’s Corrugated Cardboard Furniture

This paper research on the three aspects, such as psychological and physiological characteristics of children, the material of children’s corrugated cardboard furniture and children’s corrugated cardboard furniture structure. The result consummate the whole design that in domestic and foreign country nobody research on children’s corrugated cardboard furniture from the appearance design to the structure design. Research results can provide a reference for the children’s corrugated cardboard furniture design, especially make the children ’s corrugated paperboard furniture spread widely in the Chinese market possible.Summarizing children’s brain, thinking ability, imagination and attention, I got the main psychological features about the children of2-6years old; By using the method of investigation and comparison method, research on color and children’s perception characteristics, through the investigation of children’s favor furniture color, comparing several color most of the children like, the basis was provided for the appearance design of children’s corrugated cardboard furniture. Through the research on physiological and sitting physiological of children in2-6years old, according to different body sizes about the children of2-6years old, build the height and weight estimation table, and a child seat size design scope. The result can provide data for the structure design of children’s corrugated cardboard furniture this time.In the Study of the corrugated board material, using inductive method and comparative method, comparing the same parameters of different type of corrugated, the most suitable corrugated type was summed up to make the furniture design. I can choose different types of corrugated aiming at the different position of furniture components. Researching on the material properties and characteristics of the combination of psychological and physiological characteristics of children, I make a summary of the design principle in children’s corrugated cardboard furniture, so as to guide the final design practice.Generalizing several structures of corrugated cardboard furniture and making a summary of the different structure characteristics, the structure for the children’s furniture was selected and the design draft was finished. Through the computer simulation technology, using ABAQUS finite element software to make a simulation for children’s corrugated paperboard furniture structure. The result was made that the maximum load and maximum damage of each design structure scheme. To analyse strength influence factors such as long, wide, high of the children’s corrugated paperboard furniture, the single variable method and the comparison method was adapted.Comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different design schemes, I got the optimal design project by data. Finally, the mechanical experiments verify the maximum loading capacity of the design structure, double verification make sure the structural strength design.According to the research conclusion of the three part, design practice was done. The design of the children’s corrugated board chair meets the children furniture design guideline. It is safe, comfortable, can guide the children to use the furniture right, and the children’s furniture color is also favorite. About the structure strength, the design product can hold the weight of the children of2-6years up.
