An enterprise can only continuously introduce excellent products that can be theleader in the fierece market. The NC machine studied in this paper, with autonomousintellectual property, is the high-end product developed for the market require. The NCmachine can realize the three axes linkage control and the Spindle torque reache8000Nm.The first clamping parts can be finished on five different surface by drilling, boring,milling groove and a plane.This machine has already become the competitive product inour company.This paper first analyzes the development, characteristic and application of famous NCsystem at home and abroad. Then Function of NC system is based on the full understanding ofall the structures of the machine and the standard of NC system selection. NCU module,power module, servo-driven module, seveo motor, PLC, position control unit and otherhardware controller are finally selected based on the actual application of the machine.The total controll scheme of the machine tool is based on the Siemens SINUMERIK840D numerical control system and hardware. The schematic design of the NCU unit interface,power module and servo-driven module are based on the controll scheme. The close-loopcontrol is also designed at the same time. The ovreall frame structure of PLC program isdetermined by the hardware configuration and communication settings. The basic machinedata is determined according to the characteristics and function of the machine tool.The machine commissioning mainly includes the test of NC system and PLCprogram,mainly comprises a main shaft, a feed shaft, hydraulic pneumatic system andaccessories exchange debugging.Eventually the machine realizes the whole movement andfunction through testing in alliance. Pitch error compensation, making alarm text, standardrating cycle, machine data backup and other miscellaneous function are also tested at thesame time. Finally the NC precision is tested by the laser interferometer. The coordinatesof straight-line motion repeated positioning accuracy and inverse difference value is lessthan0.02mm. So this proves the feasibility of the control system.
