With the continuous development of social economy,people’s material cultural life level ofheighten and the continuous change of life style,more and more people pay attention to theproblem of indoor air pollution caused by indoor decoration. Indoor air pollution has becomea"stealth killer"harm to human health, and is WHO as one of the ten major threat to humanhealth,and has become one of the hot issues very attention all over the world.Attention to indoorair pollution,and actively carry out indoor air quality monitoring has become one of the majorworks in the disease prevention and control institutionsIndoor air pollutants have a great variety of things,formaldehyde and benzene are the twomain pollutants of the midst of heavy pollution, furthermore formaldehyde and benzene pollutionis much harmful to human health.Therefore pay attention to formaldehyde and benzene in theindoor air pollution status,furthermore the detection and evaluation for it,to safeguard the healthof the residents is very necessary.Purposes:In order to understand our province Changchun City at present residentialrenovation completed within a week of indoor air formaldehyde and benzenepollution status,analyse the reasons of pollution,put the forward measures of controlpollution,for the government to strengthen the indoor air pollution prevention andcontrol work to provide a scientific basis,so as to protect the health ofresidents,specially to do this investigation and study.Method:This study use a combined regimen of detection of the concentration offormaldehyde and benzene in indoor air and questionnaire survey.The sampling offormaldehyde and benzene on site detection of100residential renovation completed within a week,the sampling of benzene is sent to the laboratory for testing.At thesame time of site sampling and testing,using the self-made questionnaire for fieldsurvey.All data are arranged later,input the EpiData software is used to establishdatabase,finally using the SPSS13.0statistics software to input data for statisticalanalysis.Result:(1)The detection rate of385rooms air formaldehyde and benzene are100%,thereare183rooms air concentrations of formaldehyde exceeded the nationalstandard(exceed the standard rate of47.5%),there are152rooms air concentration ofbenzene exceeded the national standard(exceed the standard rate of39.5%).(2)The concentration of formaldehyde and benzene in different functional types ofroom air is different,the difference is statistically significant (Formaldehyde:H=14.234,P<0.05;Benzene:H=32.202,P<0.05).exceed the standard rate of formaldehydeconcentration from high to low are children room,living room,kitchen,mainbedroom,study room,guest bedroom;exceed the standard rate of benzeneconcentration from high to low are children room,living room, main bedroom,guestbedroom, kitchen, study room.(3)The concentration of formaldehyde and benzene in the air of using differentdecoration materials rooms are different,the concentration of formaldehyde andbenzene in using ordinary materials decoration room air is higher than usingenvironmentally friendly materials decoration room,the difference is statisticalsignificance(Formaldehyde:Z=-15.351,P<0.05;Benzene: Z=-12.817,P<0.05).(4)The concentration of formaldehyde and benzene in placing different materialsfurniture room air is different,the concentration of formaldehyde and benzene inplacing plate furniture room air is higher than in placing wood furniture room, thedifference is statistical significance(Formaldehyde:Z=-9.753,P<0.05; Benzene: Z=-7.964,P<0.05).(5)The concentration of formaldehyde and benzene in using wallpaper of roomair is higher than without using wallpaper room,the difference is statistically significant(Formaldehyde:Z=-10.202,P<0.05;Benzene:Z=-5.534,P<0.05),and theconcentration of formaldehyde and benzene in wallpaper amount with greater than orequal to15m2room air is higher than wallpaper amount with less than15m2room,the difference is statistically significant(Formaldehyde:Z=-12.683,P<0.05;Benzene:Z=-5.009,P<0.05).(6)The concentration of formaldehyde and benzene in laying floor room air ishigher than in not laying floor room,the difference is statistically significant(Formaldehyde:Z=-2.246,P<0.05;Benzene:Z=-4.01,P<0.05),and the concentrationof formaldehyde and benzene in laying concentration composite floor room air ishigher than laying wood floor room,the difference is statistical significance(Formaldehyde:Z=-10.677,P<0.05;Benzene:Z=-9.308,P<0.05).Conclusion:The results of this study show that,Changchun City at present in our provinceresidential renovation completed within a week of indoor air formaldehyde andbenzene pollution is relatively serious,detection rate is higher,and the indoor airformaldehyde and benzene pollution of different function type room is not thesame, and using different decoration materials,the concentration of formaldehydeand benzene in indoor air are different.
