Iron roughneck is a very important operation in the continental scentific drillrig.the system can replace manual opration to finish connection of the pipe and otherequipment,and realizing the function of automatic connect or disconnect of drillingtools.It has some advantages: compact structure, powerful function, high efficiency,handy operation and maintenance more convenient.At present,research andapplication on iron roughneck is more in abroad but less in domestic,pipe connectingis more dependent on artificially opration, far from meeting the requirement ofmodern automation drilling.the thesis comes from the major national scientificresearch project of ministry of land and research on deep continental scientific drillingrig,aims to design an new,intelligent iron roughneck.The main contents of the article includes mechanism design, parametercalculation,includes theoritical analysis, kinematics simulation, strength analysis ofspinner mechanism of iron roughneck,summarized as follows:First, the artical introduces the current situation of iron roughneck, and then thecontent and significance are analysed. Integral structure of the system is designedbased on functional requirement and working conditions, focus on the structure designof spinner mechanism, and three-dimensional models of the system is established.Second, Kinematics analysis of spinner mechanism of iron roughneck wasdone,to establish the relation between the supporting wheel movement and the inputof the system;on this basis, dynamics analysis of machanism was made, and get thedynamics equation of spinner mechanism.the multi-rigid-body dynamics simulation model of spinner mechanism wasestablished on ADAMS platform.The simulation is completed, get the dynamicparameter curves, compared with theoretical data simulation to verify the accuracy ofthe theoretical calculation.The rigid-flexible coupling model of spinner mechanism was established.after simulation, obtained the corresponding parameters comparedwith previous results,so simulation environment is close to the real condition.Theresults have positive significance for improved design of the structure and formulatingcontrol strategy.Last, check strength intensity of the main load-carrying parts by ANSYSWorkbench, and get the stress value and strain value of the components to verify thereliability of components,and provided the certain basis to the later structureoptimization.
