In our country, stamping machine industry designers have taken empiricalanalogy design method in the process of stamping machine design for a long time.This design not only can’t real evaluate deformation of machine tool under the staticload, but also lack analysis of deformation caused by dynamic load. Stampingmachine designed by the traditional methods cannot meet the increasing demand forstamping machine with different performance. This paper introduced the modernsimulation software ANSYS to realize the finite element analysis of dynamic andstatic characteristics of stamping machine’s body, and did a certain amount ofexperimental study.Firstly, a three-dimensional solid model of the stamping machine’s body wascreated and guided into the ANSYS. The ANSYS model consistent with the realsituation was built by introducing the contact pair cell of Targe170and Conta174, thepretension cell PRETS179. With the influence of preload the body’s stress anddeformation under nominal force was checked.Secondly, modal analysis of the stamping machine’s body was performed.Through the modal analysis the first ten order natural frequency of stampingmachine’s body was extracted, and the first three order modal vibration modes havingeffect on the machining accuracy was specifically analyzed. Equations of motion ofthe slider-crank mechanism was established and got the dynamic load spectrum andamplitude spectrum of the blanking force. Transient response analysis of the typicalstamping condition was performed, and gained the stress and the deformation trend oftwo periods. The stamping machine’s body was proved to meet the accuracyrequirement from three sides, accuracy of the bottom dead center, flatness of the worktable and total clearance of the contact area.Finally, three groups of experiments on stamping machine were taken, it is staticload experiment, piling experiment and modal experiment. It verified that simulationmodel is accuracy by static load experiment and modal experiment. The concept ofrelative static stiffness is introduced in the static load. It was introduced the concept ofrelative static stiffness to static load experiment that obtained the best range ofpretension multiples. Through piling experiments, the influence degree of preload,piling force and piling frequency to the stamping machine’s body could been found, itstill checked the intensity of the screw under alternating load. Through modalexperiment, rationality of this serial stamping machine was assessed.
