Study Of The Convergence Line Between Highway And Urban Road

Highway and urban are relatively independent and interdependent.Achieving the organiccoordination between highway and urban road is the basis and premise of maintaining thesustainable development of highway and urban systems.This article is on the basis of thehighway and urban development status.After collating and analyzing relevant research athome and abroad, the passage has done an research on the convergence of highways andurban roads，which Provides a theoretical support and methodological guidance for theconvergence between the two in practical engineering.Firstly this paper elaborates the basic theory on highways, urban roads and theconvergence line. Then studies the relationship between highways and urban roads,therelationship between highway transit mode and the shape of the city,the traffic characteristicsand functions of the convergence line.They provide a solid theoretical foundation for theresearch of the convergence line system and the cross–sectional design of the convergenceline.The paper has a detailed research on the convergence line system.It contains theclassification and capacity of the convergence line, the number of the convergence line andthe study on the convergence line’s type and form of the mode，which provides a theoreticalbasis for the linear design of the convergence line.After putting forwad the Planning and design standards of the convergence line and itsprinciples to be followed, the paper has a detailed research on the cross-sectional design andthe traffic signs of the convergence line, and a guarantee for the convergence line of trafficsafety.There is a detailed investigation on the evaluation of convergence between highway andurban road, including the system of evaluation and selection of the comprehensive evaluationmethod,then gives a evaluation for a project,which uses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluationmethod based on AHP, the evaluation showed that this evaluation system better reflects thecurrent convergence of the rationality of the program. It is another achievement on theconvergence between highways and urban roads.
