| Freeway is a kind of infrastructure, which has big capacity and can satisfy thetransportation need of the big traffic flow. With its intrinsic of fast, safe, comfortable,freeway has a very important position and plays an important role in the moderntransportation system. In order to avoid and prevent freeway become the bottleneck ofsocial and economic development,to give full of its social and economic benefits, thethesis takes consideration of appropriate leading and satisfying the traffic demand ofsocial and economic development when analysing and studing the rational scale offreeway network, which is the key problem of the freeway planning and constructionand has important practical significance for the traffic sustainable development.This thesis points out that there is an internal contact between the freewaydevelopment scale and its various kinds of influencing factors (land area, populationdensity, the level of economic development, geographic features, natural conditions,etc.) based on the theory of rational scale. At the same time, this thesis analyses thepresent situation of the social and economic, and analyses the highway developmentpresent situation and the development trend of Hunan province. Combining with theconcrete practice of Hunan province, the thesis analyzes expressway rationaldevelopment scale according to the interactive relationship between social economyand highway traffic.Based on the above theory research, the thesis adopts the research method ofcombining of quantitative and qualitative analysis, giving priority to quantitative andgiving an ounce of prevention to qualitative. Using connectivity method, analogymethod, homeland coefficient method, the thesis analyses and researches the freewaynetwork scale in Hunan province, considering social economy development situationand the specific network layout, combining the expert’s opinion, then determines therational scale. |
