The existing form of economy has been changed with the development of economyand progress of the society. Following agricultural economy, industrial economy, andservice economy, imperceptibly comes the era of experience economy which has openedthe prelude to a new economic development and will bring a wide range of experience forconsumers. Since living standards of the people is continuously improved with theeconomic development, after the fulfillment of the basic material needs, people began tohave growing needs in the spiritual level. Their idea of the spiritual needs, the pursuit ofindividuation is enhancing and their willing of active participation is also growing. Theother hand, the cultural and creative industries in Western countries has been developingrapidly and also become an important pillar of the economic growth in the developedcountries. Although started a little later than the Western countries, the cultural andcreative industries of China are still being trust to have bright prospects. Creativecultural product design, under the background of the cultural and creative industries, hasbecome the focus of the enterprise. In the context of the experience economy, companiesneed to seize the opportunities of economy transformation, design and produce theproducts to meet current market demand.This thesis aims to explore the design principles and design methods of creativecultural products in the context of experience economy: add the elements experienceeconomy into creative cultural products while apply the design principles and designmethods, to design and product products meeting the needs of people, and finally allowpeople to have a pleasant and memorable experience in the process of using the products,to develop a broader market space for creative and cultural products, as well as to improvequality of people’s life and to make contributions for economic development.First, the paper describes the concept of experience economy and creative culturalproducts and also their in-depth introductions and researches. Secondly, with theresearch of experience economy and creative cultural products concept, combined with theactual case studies, sum up the design principles and design methods of creative cultural product in the context of experience economy. Finally, through the specific case ofi-Zongzi creative cultural products, practice the product design principles and designmethods, let creative and cultural products be able to meet the needs of the people betterso that people can get a pleasant experience in the process of product use, enhancingcompetitive products in the market.
