Green Building and Building Information Model are the focus and developingtendencyof the constructionindustry. Both of them Aimat maximum efficiency andmaximize resource utilization in the project life cycle and sustainable development,thusthey Two are integrated into GBIM. Using information technology to optimizegreen building has become the trend. Under the trend, this paperhas carried out theresearch on the information technology application in Green Building design process.Greenbuilding design process is based on the coordination of professional designand performance simulation work. But most of the domestic design companies areaccustomedto traditional design process mode, the informationization of their designprocess is relatively weak, which is not suitable for the promotion of green buildingcollaborative design mode.Combined with database technology, the information flowtechnology and the IFC standard,this paper proposed "GBIM collaborative designdecision-making system”.Then, by analyzing the information flow characteristics of thegreen building collaborative design process, this paper carried out the information flowsimulation technologyto solve the information management technical difficulties.Then, this paper compared a seriesof common Green Building performancesimulation software, andselected a suitable set of them to develop the GBIMcollaborative design decision-making system.After theperformance simulationsoftware selection, the information flow model ofGreenbuilding design process has been establishedbasing onthe informationlogicanalysisbetween each design orperformance simulation work. The modelcomprehensively describe the information flowing relations,the restraint relations aswell asthe order of each activity in Greenbuilding design process, whichprovide theprocess-oriented engine to the GBIM collaborative design decision-making system.A chosen project and a develop software was introduced to validate the establishedinformation flow modelof Greenbuilding design process, which show the modelintegrity,versatility and computer programming feasibility.At last, the prospect and extension of this study were forecast.
