With the rapidly economic growth in China since the beginning of the21st century,urbanization and motorization process overlap accelerated forward, the contradictionbetween the various traffic problems and urban land use become increasingly prominent.In order to alleviate the problem of urban traffic development, such as traffic congestionor traffic pollution, the Chinese government put forward the "bus priority" developmentstrategy.Bus priority is not only the main way to ease urban traffic congestion, theimportant starting point for energy conservation, but also the core strategy to promotethe land intensive use. However, the different public transport modes have differentoperational efficiency and energy saving effect; bus mode selection is subject to theurban form, the population size, the nature of land and people travel characteristics orother influencing factors. Combined with unique urban form of the group Mountain City,the geographical terrain conditions and road network structure, this paper have aresearch on the group mountain city bus mode, by exploring group Mountain urbandevelopment of urban public transport mode selection method, and can offer referencefor the other urban public transport development.At first, on the basis of deep analysing the form of the group Mountain City,system analysis the group Mountain City traffic characteristics and mountain city publictraffic system architecture and its service targets;Then, by analysing and comparing the history and current status of the urbanpublic transport development model at home and abroad, we put forward theinfluencing factor of group urban bus mode;Thirdly, according to the influencing factors of group Mountain City residentstravel and the index confirm principle, this paper established the group mountain citybus mode selection index system, and combined the cloud theory and matter elementanalysis to build the cloud matter element model that can determine the group mountaincity bus development mode selection method, meanwhile by taking advantage of theimproved Entropy Method to calculate the weight of the index system, thenprogramming the model in Matlab, so that in we can adjust the city bus mode atdifferent stages in future real time..At last, this paper choose Chongqing as an example, according to the developing conditions of the city public transit system, to get the suitable bus development modefor Chongqing, the typical group mountain city, and offer the relevant countermeasuresand suggestions, can provide reference for the selection of group mountain city publictransit developing mode in our country.
