Studies On Water-saving Landscape In Xi’an

Xi’an is one of the biggest city in the western area in our country.Today the waterresource problem is outstanding,has very important significance to study the effective use ofwater.In the past Landscape planning,it lies the phenomenon of impress the view resultand ignore to the utilized use of water and sustainable development.Currently, with the improvement of living conditions, people are eager to improve theliving environment and they are more concern about the quality of living environment. In thecontemporary urban landscape design, the importance and sustainable usage of water resourceare mostly ignored to strengthen the landscape effects. Cities are decorated with all kinds ofwaterscape at the cost of wasting valuable water resource, especially in arid and semi-aridregions in northwest China. So, in this paper a series of design measures and ideas wereproposed from the perspectives of planning programming and ecological engineering, basedon the water resource problems in the landscape architecture in Xi’an. The objective of thisstudy is to come out scientific and reasonable, environment-friendly and water-savinglandscape design concepts to guide the practical work, which will contribute to thedevelopment of the construction of water-saving landscape architecture via incorporating therelated natural, cultural and social factors and while making the best use of potential of waterresource.From plenty of field research, detailed theoretical analysis and case study, the bestwater-saving landscape architecture design was explored with the aim of keeping sustainabledevelopment of living environment while making the best use of water resource.This thesis plans to use relevant ecology principles and system analysis theory methodsto solve the water problem in Xi’an landscaping,give series effective measure in Xi’anwater-saving landscape planning,from angle in planning design and ecological engineer, thusobtain the landscape plan design idea which is science、reasonable and frugal ecology,andthen guide the practice work,make positive contribution on water-saving landscape in Xi’andevelopment.This article come from the from the ecology planning and design theory andmethod in water-saving landscape,study on the method in water-saving landscape planningand design in Xi’an by use of the technology water-saving—claimed water used and rainwater used,ecotype water-saving—the constructiong of wet-land landscape and water-saving plant used those four application feasible which saved water in landscape,andhas given successful examples for reference,at the same time give some advice onwater-saving landscape in Xi’an.At the end of the thesis,give planning design example ofwater-saving landscape.
