The research of this paper was based on The Feasibility Study Report on Yingkou Water Supply works of Liaoning East-West Water Diversion. Conclusions, after the comparison and analysis, are as follows:(1) Water consumption norm was used to forecast urban water demand of Yingkou. By balance analyzing Yingkou water supply and demand, the construction scale of Yingkou water supply works in East-West water diversion was in recent-term(2010)25.0×104m3/d, medium-term(2015)45.0×104m3/d.(2) The source water reservoirs of Yingkou sixth water treatment plant were Dahuofang and Hengren, and by analyzing the water quality monitoring data that Shenyang eighth water treatment plant had given on these two reservoirs. The conclusion can be made that apart from high turbidity, coliform bacteria and total bacterial count, as well as other water quality index were all met current sanitary standard for drinking water of these two reservoirs. Combined with Drinking Water Sanitary Standard (GB5749-2006), the outflow turbidity of the water treatment plant was below0.5NTU, and no more than1NTU on occasional situation.(3) Water treatment process was mechanical mixing pool-fold plate flocculator inclined plate sedimentation tank-V-filter based on analysis and discussion on each treatment unit process of the water treatment plant. After analyzing and discussing on water conveyance project and water distribution project, the construction scale of water transmission and distribution pipeline was settled down, and then combined with the analysis of geographical and construction conditions, engineering safty and economic comparison, the route of water transmission and distribution pipeline were all determined. Appropriate pipe diameter and pipe material were chosed.(4) On the treatment process of the water treatment plant, feat parameters were chosen to calculate the size and floor area of each building of the plant, site planning. All kinds of pipelines were arranged reasonably, and at last, the design of Yingkou sixth water treatment plant was completed.
