| Industry transformation of resource-based cities, which has been carried out in fullswing as early as several years ago, is a worldwide hot issue. Many mineral resource-based cities developed rapidly in the planned economy era, while,faced with resource exhaustion, these cities now urge to transform the industry. This problem gets more and more attention and wide research. The origin and development of the Panzhihua has a distinct character of prosperity depending on mine, which, to a large extent, has certain representativeness. So the study on the Panzhihua’s industry transformation is not only a kind of remedy to urban planning in the planned economy era, but also a guidance and improvemen for the urban’s future development. Therefore, the research in this area is of great significance. Based on the analysis of relevant types of city’s experience and study at home and abroad,the research is carried out by site investiation, comparative analysis, interviews and other methods. The work use some projects such as the Panzhihua ‘s overall planning and the Panzhihua’s new district conceptual planning as the carrier. Through the analysis of Panzhihua and its new district’s present situation, location characteristics, advantages, industry development trend,some more clear industrial development categories and suggestions can be drawn. Within the scope of the new district developmentsome new plannings are adopted in response to the space demands required for the industry transformation,which can provide reference for the Panzhihua’s future constructionand basis for the scientific spatial layout and scale in the new district’s different kinds ofland use.in a word, these measures can promote district economy development, keep the ecological environment, cater to the trend of industrial transformation and promote urban sustainable development. In the end,some suggestions on the spatial layout of new district’s land use are also puts forward. |
