In the multi-cabin space station, because of its large scale, complex structure,internal visual vertical direction changeable and other reasons, the astronauts in thecabin is frequently report innavigation obstacles, therefore, design and researchonbuilding a cabin simulation navigation systembased on VR is particularly importantand significant. Simulatethe multi-cabin space stationin VR-based,design a simulationintra-vehicular navigation systemthrough a way of roaming interactivenavigation.Based on analyzing the principle of ISS navigationsimulation system to select thehardware and software for virtual system, design the virtual sceneof the cabin; Planningand design the model to complete the space station structure, size and spacedistributionthrough the real space station data compilation refine; make an overalldesign and planning research programs for the space station cabin simulation intra-vehicular navigation systemfrom the softwareprepared, hardware components andscenemodel.Based on the design of software, hardware and scene model in the systemplanning, the3D model scene of the space station is built combining3D MAX andPhotoshop; Based on the real-time3D environment behavior module virtual realityediting functions in VIRTOOLS, the virtual interactive wayfinding systems which couldroam autonomously and automatically is developed in the virtual scene of the spacestation, and the pose comparative experiment platform is established.For the post experiments part, the posture comparing experiment of programplanning is conducted, and the effective subject groups are selected by age, gender,physical condition and other factors; The subjects are divided into two groups accordingto spatial ability test results and gender-based test, and they respectively enter theexperiment system with different posture; then the experiment content is designed, andthe experimental results are analyzed statistically.The main subject navigates the two groups of subjects to do the comparisonexperiments in different postures in the same roaming system based on the roamingtarget route and the experiment instruction; On the one hand the head-down proneposition experiments of the terrestrial gravity conditions are done to simulate terrestrialgravity conditions, on the other, the upright posture experiments are done, regarding thenavigation performance indicators as the main experimental investigation; Thestatistical comparison analysis is conducted based on the results, and the feasibility andeffectiveness of the intra-vehicular navigation system based on VR is verified.
