Shaanxi provincial government in1992announced boluo protection division at fort, shaanxi cultural heritage planningdesign and research institute in2009made to readjust the existing protection districts.With the end of the shaanxi provincial institute of archaeology institute completedthe existing ruins of the Great Wall in shaanxi province and a large number ofmilitary fortifications along the Great Wall of resources investigation, the actualsurveying and mapping and recorded their sites along the Great Wall. Due toinsufficient understanding current protection division to protect the object, in fort ofthe ontology and surroundings have suffered different degrees of damage, the needfor further protection to its divisions.In this thesis，large quantities of information about the domestic and foreigndocuments and related research has been collected and arranged. The author tracesthe building history of the Boluo fort through document research based on theachievements from archaeological institute of Shaanxi Provence，makes a taxonomicstudy for the ruins of Boluo fort and a comprehensive assessment for its value andevaluates the present circumstances of ruins based on practical investigation andresearch. Secondly，after researching the defense system of the Boluo fort，the authoranalyzes the spatial pattern and site characteristics between the Great Wall and the Boluo fort，arranges the defense features of the Boluo fort walls，turrets，roads andsettlements，and confirms the protected objects in the Boluo fort ruins protectingproject combining present problems，opportunities and challenges. Finally，accordingto the heritage classification of the Boluo fort，combined with the relevant nationallaws and documents，the author formulates principles of the protecting project forthe Boluo fort which has been delimited particularly and then explained its basis forpreserve scope and construction area of the Boluo fort，makes a conceptual controlfor the Boluo fort overall landscape style，formulates the principle and goal ofshowing and use，and puts forward the proposals，patterns and correspondingregulations for protection demonstration with the purpose to fully demonstrate thecontent of cultural and artistic value of the Boluo fort. In a scientific and reasonablemethod，the protecting project of the Boluo fort is researched in the thesis in order toprovide ideas and references for the protecting projects of the other forts along theGreat Wall of Ming Dynasty.
