In recent years, increasing scales of some high schools have been far beyond thecodes of construction for school building. So many of new schools are building withoutguidance of scientific theories in many provinces and area, At the same time as thedeveloping of quality education, high school should highlight the growing importanceof the space for reading. This article is intended to show in-depth investigation and analysis about theoverall size of the space for reading, and combination of other spaces on campusrelationships, and multi-functional and flexible use. Through research to find theproblem, then analyzed to find the cause of the problem, through reasonablearchitectural design plans to solve the problem, for super-scale construction of thefuture direction of the space for reading some of ideas and design principles. Combinedprimary and secondary management theory and experience for design of the space forreading. The author first learned three aspects related to the research situation which are thescale and high schools, high school campus architectural design, library space, as thebasis for this study. By analyzing the background of large scale high school and causesof its features elaborate, large-scale analysis of the ultra-high school library readingroom in the development process in the face of two conflicting aspects, one is the highand the low utilization rate of acceptance criteria contradiction; second is to use demandand the contradiction between the use of inconvenience and high school students on theultra-large-scale work schedules and the concept of quality education for book reading space was studied and analyzed. Data collection and field research in two ways, thegeneral high school and high school space for reading research, analysis of the resultsthrough research, from an architectural point of view summed up the domestic super-scale construction of high school library reading room in the process of using three twoaspects. For these three aspects, the author draw lessons from the excellent research andanalysis and design experience abroad, discusses suitable high school space for readingscale construction of indicators; Space for reading centralized and decentralized layoutcombined with other spatial relationships on campus; and suitable for large scale highschool space for reading versatile and flexible use of space and design strategies.
