Inverter power supply has been widely used in many fields. Inverter is a very important part of the electric power system which is used to convert DC to AV power. With the rapid development of electronic and industrial control technology, to develop a high quality inverter has been more and more important as the requirement of power supply in all walks of life become higher and higher.With the widely application of the large scale integrated circuit, field programmable gate array(FPGA) is a good choice to the designment of digital integrated chip system. And it is used in many fields. FPGA is a fully parallel architecture, which runs in a high speed. At the same time, programming, bugging and integration is so convenient in very high speed integrated circuits hardware description language(VHDL). Direct digital synthesize technology is a good device applied to generate kinds of waveform. It works without volatility and phase lock, discrete wave function in a direct digital way, quantize time and amplitude data and then store in wave memorizer gradually. Continuous data flow through D/A converter to generate waveform.Here, this article study a new method for generating SPWM based on Xilinx’s Spartan-3E series FPGA chip XC3S1000that combines with DDS technology. Meanwhile, a detailed study has been carried on with biological inspired optimization algorithms which is widely applied nowadays. Bacteria foraging optimization algorithm is improved with the rapidity of particle swarm optimization(PSO). IBFO is applied to estimate SPWM harmonic through the performance comparison of many algorithms. The output harmonic of the inverter circuit is reduced effectively in this method. SPWM wave is great improved.At the same time, mathematical model of single-phase inverter is build to study the performance such as static and dynamic response of the inverter system. Traditional control theory combined with intelligent control to improve the output wave of inverter designed by dual-loop control system based on IBFO. Matlab simulation model is designed to show a better quality waveform and stronger robust performance by the IBFO dual-loop control system. In a word, this paper provides effective methods to improve output wave of inverter together in software and hardware. The research results have a good application prospect in the industrial control.
