Research On Landscape Design Of The Great Canal In Downtown Area Of Cangzhou City

Water system in China is numerous. In addition to the two mother rivers of the Chineseancient civilization, the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, the Beijing-Hangzhou GrandCanal from south to north is important. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is the time todig the world’s oldest, longest process, and the longest period of continuous use of humannavigable waterways. Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through the north and southwinds thousands of miles, north and south have different natural landscape, culturallandscape and folk customs, which in the two thousand years of history, and slowlydeposited along the canal, the canal constructed from a unique culture.Since the reform and opening up in the1970s, the rapid development of socialeconomy, the water transport function of the canal in Cangzhou section gradually disappear.people blindly chase short-term economic benefits, poor management and maintenance ofthe canal, the canal leading to water pollution, along the canal abandoned ferry pier, riverembankments, etc. were also damaged, as proposed in recent years, Beijing-HangzhouGrand Canal inscription and livable city concept to make people re-emphasis on theprotection and development of the canal along the canal landscape. Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the main cityof Cangzhou segment become an integral part of Cangzhou shared space, we can seewhether it is ecological, landscape and environmental, social and urban development areclosely linked Cangzhou.The canal landscape not only bearing the canal history and civilization for thousands ofyears, but also in the urban ecological environment construction, residents living demand,beautify the city, is a great significance to promote the city image.This paper constitutes adeparture from the main urban section of Cangzhou City Canal landscape design, landscape canal sorting out the applicable design methods and landscaping practices, summarize thecanal and the principles of landscape design should pay attention to the issue, hoping a morescientific study of the canal landscape design theory and methodology, to provide atheoretical basis for the renovation and construction in other regions along the Grand Canalwith the landscape and make people to recognize the significance of the canal landscape forfuture development.Papers are composed of four parts.
