Study On The Landscape Design Of Qianjiang New Landscape

In recent years, as the economy of Hangzhou is developing rapidly，the construction of the citykeeps expanding and the awareness to protect the West Lake is becoming stronger, people have startedto change the construction of the West Lake into the protection of it while changing the construction axisof the city’s new area from the West Lake to the Qian Tang River. For example, the construction ofCentral Business District of Hangzhou about Integration Project is to direct the development andresearch of Hangzhou’s new landscape, so as to make a combination of Landscape theory in Jiangnanlandscape and modern landscape. And this indicates that Hangzhou is stepping from the “times of theWest Lake” into the “Times of Qian Tang River”. This paper will mainly discuss the development andresearch of Hangzhou’s new landscape-the landscape design of QianJiang new landscape from theperspective of landscape design.Therefore, this paper focuses on the landscape design of QianJiang new landscape and utilizes aplenty of field research, visiting, and the summary of relevant literature. It mainly does research on thedevelopment of Hangzhou’s gardens and analyzes the impacts that Western Garden have on QianJiangnew landscape (which is to incorporate the merits of Classical garden methods into modern landscapedesign and put forward the important factors and design techniques of QianJiang new landscape on theguidance of the garden methods of Chinese classical gardens and Jiangnan garden and on the basis ofmodern ways of landscape expressing). The paper ends with the analysis of two cases (Central BusinessDistrict of Hangzhou landscape design、Olympic Expo Center landscape design), trying to prove that thetheory has some reference value and guiding significance for the development and research ofHangzhou’s new-era landscape.
