In-depth research on disassembly of mechanical products is of great use to lessen theconflict and pressure of population, resource and environment. To recycle the material ofscrap product, and remanufacture and reuse of components avails to lessen the environmentdeterioration and insufficiency of resources. Also, it provides an effective solution to productdevelopment and assembly method. Currently, the society is rapidly forwarding, the effectivelifecycle period of products is shortened, and the public’s environment awareness isincreasingly enhanced, all of which makes the disassembly study a hot button of industry.In this paper, research results in relevant field are incorporated and analyzed. Anddiscussion on disassembly model, subassembly classification and identification, anddisassembly sequence generation is carried out. All these aspects are the main content ofmechanical product disassembly and a reasonable disassembly scheme can be made on thebasis of thorough disassembly analysis.This paper centers on study of disassembly model and information representation. Setthe oil pump of one type as the subject, and different types of models are summed up,including undirected and directed graph, hybrid graph, Petri Net and AND/OR graph,structural relation graph, disassembly hierarchical information graph. Matrixes are one of themeans to represent disassembly information and certain information can be expressed in onekind of matrixes. Interference matrix, connection matrix and contact matrix are introduced inthe paper.In terms of disassembly sequence generation, the classification and identification ofsubassembly are discussed, because it can be used to reduce the disassembly complexity andprovide more appropriate disassembly sequence. Based on Petri Net and structural relationgraph, the disassembly sequence of oil pump is generated. Also, application of enumerationmethod and genetic algorithm to disassembly sequence planning is explained. And the factorsaffecting the disassembly cost are considered。Finally, take the complete disassembly of oil pump solid model in CATIA as the studycase, extract disassembly information using CATIA secondary development tool—CAA, andobtain all the feasible disassembly sequences. Disassembly hierarchical information graph concept is introduced to simplify the disassembly sequence generation and recognize all thegroups that can be disassemblied at one time, reducing the complexity of disassemblysequence computation and enchancing the efficiency of disassembly process planning. Fiveitems are brought up to judge the capabilities of the models in the chapter2, and the flowchart of targeted and complete disassembly of the oil pump is established. At last, The TRIZtheory is applied to redesign the oil pump for disassembly.
