Remanufacturing engineering is regarded as the significant measure and advanced technology to implement national outline of 'Circular Economy' Engineering machinery acts as one of the great propellers for social development, therefore the remanufacturing of end-of-life engineering machinery products is an important way to realize circular economy. Hydraulic cylinders, with a wide range of types, huge amounts, precise structure, complex manufacturing process and high value, are key components of engineering machinery, and the remanufacturing of hydraulic cylinders will bring tremendous economic and social benefits.Disassembly is an important and essential process for hydraulic cylinder remanufacturing, during which the non-destructive, stable and safe dismantling process and the specialized dismantling equipment with high efficiency and flexibility will play a very important role. Accurately collecting and analyzing disassembly information of hydraulic cylinders, though numerous and jumbled, can effectively guide the dismantling process and equipment design, reaching a 'double effect' in disassembly process. Based on this, the dismantling platform design for engineering hydraulic cylinder is studied under the guideline of 'information driven design'. The main work is as follows:From the perspective of remanufacturing engineering, specific disassembly requirements for green manufacturing and circular economy are analyzed. A product disassembly information analysis model based on set and matrix is proposed, after the ideal two/three dimensional disassembly model of objects is built. Then a disassembly sequence planning(DSP) algorithm, which meets the principles of free-disassembly, stability and priority, is studied and applied to the analysis of engineering hydraulic cylinder.Start from disassembly information, the customer needs information(CNI) and design and analysis information(DAI) during disassembly process are deeply analyzed, from which a disassembly process information model(DPIM) is constructed. A new dismantling equipment design method based on DPIM driven is presented and applied to design a dismantling platform for hydraulic cylinder with independency, generality and robustness.The virtual and physical prototypes of dismantling platform of hydraulic cylinder are built by design calculation,3D modeling and assembly, structure optimization and trial production. The effectiveness of the presented design method, as well as the advancement and practicability of the dismantling platform, is verified by both virtual and actual disassembly experiments.
