In response to the serious shortage of resources and environmental pollution, our country has begun to control the building energy consumption and vigorously encourage to build the green building. Now the total area of green building in our country has increased to more than70million m2, but the proportion of green buildings is still small, which means the green buildings still have a good development potential. In the process of the development of green architecture, the green building incremental cost is usually used to evaluate the economic efficiency of the green building. But there is few study on the green building incremental costs is fewer, which makes the content and the calculation method not accurate and impacts the analysis and evaluation of green buildings.Considering the current studies on green building research, this paper analyzes the current development of green building and incremental costs based on life-cycle theory and the theory of incremental costs. Then I define the meaning and analyze the factors influencing the whole life cycle of green building incremental cost. The measurement principles, steps and methods are proposed. Finally, the empirical analysis is conducted to provide the basis for evaluate the whole life cycle of green building.
