The Research And Evaluation Of The Intensive Utilization Of Industrial Land Space In HEDA

As the key area of urban development and land utilization, the development parks have been playing a decisive role in promoting the rapid growth of economy in China. However, there’re several common problems in the land utilization of development parks such as more expansion than digging, larger scale but not higher efficiency, regarding investment attraction more important than the city planning. To assure of the sustainable development of both economy and society, the elevation of the capability to provide the land resource and mollifying the contradiction between the land supply and demand, an intensive and high-efficiency land utilization pattern for development parks must be established, which is based on the requirements of the scientific thought of development and the construction of resource-conserving society and to improve the situation of the expanding area and extensive utilization of land in the development parks of China.The development parks of China are originated from the industrial development. In this way, the efficient utilization of the industrial land space is concerned with the healthy development of the parks. In the current days of fast development in the urbanization, more and more development parks are suffering the transition from merely industrial parks to comprehensive cities while maintaining the essence of industrial development. Thus, the research of industrial land space utilization which lays the foundation of the industrial development should be taken seriously.The research of this essay is based upon the distinctiveness of the industrial land space utilization in the development parks, using the space analysis and statistics functions of ARCGIS software to analyze the utilization condition, to evaluate the utilization efficiency grounded on the developing and output intensity, to make comparison of the land space utilization between different types of industries, to describe the intensity condition of the development parks’industrial land space and to predict the future of industrial land space in order to dig the potentiality of the land space utilization, make better choices of industrial types and offer some advices against the industrial land space expansion of development parks.The essay discusses upon six subjects. First of all, it makes the general description of the history of our developing parks, the industrial land space expansion of the parks, the intensive utilization of the land resource and applying GIS to the evaluation of intensive land utilization. Next, it discusses with the basic concepts and implications related to the intensive utilization of land, expounds on the theoretical foundation of the intensive utilization of land and summarizes the progress of relative research. Then, it takes Hangzhou Economic&Technological Development Area as an example, to evaluate the condition of intensive utilization of land in all types of the industrial land space in HEDA. Later, it takes measurements and calculates the potentiality of the intensive utilization of industrial land space in HEDA. After that, it brings up the suggestions and practices for the intensive utilization of industrial land space in development parks with relative domestic experiences as the reference. Finally, on the basis of drawing the conclusion of both the achievements and issues, the essay looks into the future of further researching field.
