Studies Of Prevention From Injury To Conveyor Belt

Invented since1795, belt conveyor has been widely used in various fields of economy, developing especially in electric power, metallurgy, coal, mining and ports. Because of its low transportation cost, suitability for all kinds of complex terrain, convenient maintenance and so on, belt conveyor becomes the important way of the bulk material conveying.This paper researches the injury to conveyor belt in actual production, which mainly discusses the causes that lead to injury, and the effective measures that prevent from injury. It puts forward suggestions for the use and management of belt which are suitable for enterprises under the present conditions. The main contents and structures of this paper are as follows:1、Firstly, this paper discusses the structure, type and characteristics of belt conveyor. And it analyzes the common method for calculating the service life of the conveyor belt.2、Secondly,this paper analyzes two common injured types of the conveyor belt: deviation and longitudinal tearing. This paper analyzes the reasons that lead to that two injured types firstly. Then according to the actual production it analyzes the various specific reasons of injury, and for a variety of specific reasons it puts forward preventive measures.3、At last, this article proposes the management and recommendations of belt that suit to the enterprise under the present conditions, which aim to reduce the injured rate, prolong the service life, reduce the cost of enterprise.The prevention from injury to conveyor belt will develop toward the direction of mechatronics and advanced protection. The primary goal in the future is how to eliminate the conditions of forming accident, make the accidents solved in the bud. At the same time, this article also emphasizes that the human role is important in the prevention from injury to conveyor belt.
