The shortage of energy is a bottleneck that restricts the socio-economicdevelopment, so it’s the mankind’s responsibility to make the use of energy rational.In China, because of the background of continuous development of economy, theconsumption of the primary energy sources is rising, and the building energyconsumption amounts to about1/4of the total social energy consumption, thepredictability of the increasing energy consumption is obvious, so there’s greatpotential of energy-saving in the field of construction, this will help to build aresources-saving, environment-friendly society and to fulfill our energy strategy goals.The energy consumption of the public buildings is high due to the complexity of itsfunctions, but there’s great potential in the energy-saving of public buildings, so it’sthe focal point of energy-saving in the field of construction.The paper first analyzes the energy consumption of the public buildings inChangsha district, because it’s necessary for the energy-saving reformation of theexisting buildings and the energy-saving design of the new buildings. Building energyconsumption simulation software has obvious advantage in the field of dynamicanalysis of building envelope thermal characteristics and to calculate annual energyconsumption of the buildings, then DeST is introduced in this paper, for it’s a kind ofbuilding energy consumption simulation software that is developed by China.Based on the principle of dynamic energy consumption analysis, DeST is used inthe paper to analyze the Yunda central square commercial complex in Changsha, thepaper analyzes the load characteristics of the building, the factors that affect the loadof the typical rooms, and provides a few of energy-saving measures in reducing theenergy consumption of the building. All the work will provide reference to theenergy-saving design and operation management of the public buildings.I hope this paper could provide some theoretical and engineering applicationbasis in the energy-saving field of the public buildings in Changsha district and evenin the whole hot summer and cold winter area.
