With the increasing complexity of the power system, the security and stabilityhave become increasingly prominent. In the daily production process of the powersystem, the operators’ skill is one of the important factors affecting the safety andreliability of power system operation, and any accidents caused by human error makethe loss is immeasurable. Therefore, the operator must have a rigorous training in thepower generation, transmission, distribution and other aspects of power system operation,and the teaching system for operator training need higher requirements. The specificity ofpower system determines training operator in the actual operation of the system is difficult, butthe application of digital simulation technology can build a virtual running grid and substationas a training environment, so that the trainees run operation and get correspondingevaluation in the virtual environment, thus enhancing the trainees’ ability in the actual systemoperation control and judgment of the accident processing.Nowadays, Operator Training System and Dispatcher Training System isolatedoperated, isolated the information exchange of the grid simulation and the substationsimulation. To some extent, it affected the authenticity and effectiveness of the OperatorTraining System and the Dispatcher Training System. Combined with the dispatch datanetwork, build a grid-substation integrated simulation training system can effectively improvethe interactivity, authenticity and systemic of the simulation training system, and help toimprove professional knowledge, skills and incident handling capability of the operator.In this paper, Hunan power grid and its substation are the objects and grid-substationintegrated simulation training system is the developed by the use of digital simulationtechnology, graphics and other key technologies. Firstly, according to the characteristics ofHunan power grid and its substation and basic conditions of main wiring, protectionconfiguration and other, the overall framework of the simulation training system and thehardware and software technology are developed. Then, according to the whole processtheory of the different positions and the purpose and application requirements of skillstraining, grid-substation integrated simulation training system is designed. Finally, with theapplication of object-oriented programming techniques, a simulation system is designed andimplemented. The overall design of the grid-substation integrated simulation trainingsystem in Visual C++is completed. Through the substation wiring diagram drawingeditorial changes, protection configuration and its modification and other practical functions, make a description of system features and technical characteristics, andindicated the improvement of the usability and scalability of the system by Graphicsrendering system. By analysis the operating situation of the simulation training system,systematically analyzes the overall efficiency of the system in the actual teachingactivities.Practical application shows that the simulation training system effectivelyimprove the professional knowledge, skills, resilience and management level of thegrid-substation operators, thus it can be a positive and effective means forgrid-substation operator training...
