With the progress of science and technology, a wide range of automatic and semi-automatic machines are applied broadly in various fields. Intermittent mechanism is one research hotspot of mechanical product. Intermittent mechanism makes the continuous input sport convert to has a certain law of movement of cyclical output. While modern industrial developing to high speeding, heavy loading and high-precision, it is also putting forward higher requirements on the structure design and motion of intermittent mechanism.At present, frequently used cam indexing mechanism can be divided into three types, parallel indexing cam mechanism, globoidal indexing cam mechanism and cylinder indexing cam mechanism. According to the demand, variety of variations institutions which combining these institutions are made.Due to solve the problem of cam indexing mechanism can possess big divisionin with compact configuration in high-speed running, the paper propose a new intermittent mechanism——inner displaced indexing cam mechanism based on driving principle of inner displacement.In this dissertation, firstly, by studying driving principle and composition of structure, optimal design proposal which the mechanism with large division can bear high-speed running is advanced. Then the paper studied forming principle of cam’s profile combined with the motion law of output part——gear, by establishing coordinate system of cam-gear, the equations of cam’s profile are derived.Secondly, vital geometrical property of cam is analysed using Matlab software. Primary continent of analysis are forming theoretical profile of cam; gaining actual profile of cam by caculating radius of curvature;figuring out pressure angle; obtaining arm of force at meshing point; computing meshing force based on balanced equation of moment.Finally, prototype of inner displaced indexing cam mechanism was manufactured.
