With the development of large ships and automation and increasing of marine electrical equipment, the capacity of marine power station also will be gradually increased. The safe and reliable operation of marine power station power management system plays an extremely important role. On the basis of analysis and researching the domestic and foreign marine power management systems, according to relevant requirements of China classification society "rules for classification of sea-going steel ships", and with programmable controller (PLC) as control core, the power management system of marine power station is designed. In this paper, theoretical researches of marine power station power management system mainly research the speed control system of diesel engine. Build the mathematical models of auxiliary generators, and use MATLAB/Simulink to build simulation models, to study the speed control system of diesel generators and simulation and analysis results. This design of power management system of the AC power station consists of one master computer and four substations, the master computer is industrial PC, substations using S7-300PLC, a total of three separately controlled auxiliary generators. The current, voltage and frequency detection transmitter for the power management system are selected and designed, as well as short circuit of the generator, overload, reverse power protection, etc.Through the design of flow chart, using software STEP7V5.3to program for auxiliary generators automatic start and stop, and parallel, adjust the carrier frequency and splitting; programming for overloaded access. In addition, in order to automatic control and alarm monitoring of the power management system, using configuration software WinCC flexible to design interface of power management system. Finally, using WinCC flexible and PLCSIM to joint simulation of marine power station power management systems, to simulate actual operating. Using the results of the simulation to verify the reasonableness of the designed.
