| Road passenger transport express is a kind of emerging express service wayusing residual baggage compartment of passenger lines and passenger trains equippedwith expresses and is an important initiative for road passenger transport enterprisesto expand profit margins and enhance the competitive advantage. But it is limited topassenger transport network resource, imperfect service standards, design andoptimization of service network. Therefore, this paper aims at the study of thepassenger transport express passenger transport express which having practicalsignificance and research value for optimizing the allocation of resources, improvingthe service level and improving their competitive advantages.Firstly, the paper uses the node split method to analysis and build the time-spacestructure of road passenger transport express service network. It builds thehub-and-spoke network structure including direct service and transit service,througha detailed analysis of network resources involved in passenger transport expressservice, combining with the passenger transportation class line network resources andpassenger transport network operation characteristics, adding the service transit siteand stopover site in line with passenger service operational characteristics on the basisof hub-and-spoke express service network structure; then it splits the network sitesaccording to the content of the work involved, and builds the time-space network ofroad passenger transport express service.Secondly, the paper designs the appropriate services combining with the demandcharacteristics and gives the design method of service group. On the basis of theconstructed network structure, considering the time of network resources, passengercapacity and service level and other factors, the paper designs the express servicefrom the four aspects including the time series of services, the opening line frequency,the design costs and capacity, then, designs the corresponding service groupaccording to the OD demand distribution and service level requirements; meanwhile,it presents the service group selection method of express network flow in differentlevels, specifically through the analysis of the characteristics of express passengertransportation demand and service level requirements, considering the time limit for the passenger transport network and capacity constraints and choosing the servicegroup meeting the requirements of express network flow to complete the transfer ofnetwork flow.Finally, the paper takes into full account the service network structure analyticexpression, service design under the service network resource constraints and expressnetwork flow distribution,relying on hub-and-spoke passenger transport expressservice network structure; with the minimizing generalized service network totaloperating costs as the objective function, it depicts constraints in every stage of theservice network design meticulously using the mathematical method; it sets thenetwork structure and resource constraints, the service design constraints and networkflow constraints; with the service design0-1variables and service frequency as thedecision variables, it builds the design model of road passenger transport expressservice network, realizes the service network design goal, designs a phased heuristicalgorithm, and presents the specific passenger transport express service networkdesign scheme combining with a case.The research shows an integrated design approach in road passenger transportexpress service network design, refines the service design under the condition ofpassenger transport network resource constraints and service group selectiondecision-making process, and provides a method to support the passenger transportexpress service network design and decision-making. |
