Tractor play an important role in China’s agriculture, the character in kinematics anddynamics of transmission is related to the reliability of tractor directly. The application ofvirtual prototyping technology not only improves simulation technique’s precision, but alsosaves the time.Taking example for a transmission used in an orchard small tractors, the key steps andapproaches of dynamic simulation on the transmission based on virtual prototypingtechnology are discussed. Three-dimensional models of transmission parts are built, and thenpower-transmission system of transmission is put up for kinematical simulation. This thesismakes a deep research on the dynamics simulation methods of the gear-rotor-bearing systemand the synchronizer mechanism. The main points of the thesis are listed bellows:Three-dimensional models of transmission parts are built by Pro/E, and then assemblymodel of the transmission is built by means of adopting from bottom to top. Based on theassembly model, power-transmission system of transmission is put up for kinematicalsimulation. Flow of analyze adopted by this thesis: three-dimensional of parts modeling-subassembly modeling-final assembly modeling-kinematical simulation analyze.Based on the assembly model, transmission parts of output shift are leaded intoADAMS system by Mechanism/Pro which is the interface software of Pro/E betweenADAMS, relevant joints and motions are appended, and then power-transmission system isput up for dynamics simulation analyze base on MSC-ADAMS environment.Synchronizer is an important device of transmission. In the thesis, firstly simplesimulation model of the synchronizer is built, and then edit splines of shift force by using dataof experimentation and change other synchronizer parameters to simulate the process in theMSC-ADAMS environment in the synchronizing process, finally find main factors ofsynchronous time. This thesis indicates that building simulation model of the synchronizer cangain relative exact results, more important that we can simulation the process in thesynchronizing process before physical prototyping have been made.
