The Application And Study Of Virtual Prototyping Technology In Tractor Modeling Design

Tractor modeling design is one of the key technologies in the whole tractor design. According to the characteristics of domestic tractor modeling design, the introduction of new technology in tractor modeling design is an effective way to improve the quality of products.With the help of virtual prototyping technology, during the phase of product design of tractor modeling, those performance which are aesthetic quality, dynamics, kinematics, stiffness, strength, vibration characteristics, can be processed to simulate. Therefore the over performances are matched and the products are optimized integrally. Consequently it is great important to study that new technology to improve the quality of design, shorten the development circle of product, low production costs and increase the tractor enterprise's ability of market competition.At first, this paper introduces this basic theories such as the principle of tractor modeling design, aesthetics rule, elements, color design and so on. The evolution rule and characteristics of tractor modeling are concluded on the basis of analysis the tractor modeling of different periods, which provides a scientific basis for the tractor modeling design.Based on comparison with traditional tractor modeling design, the application of virtual prototyping technology in tractor modeling design is proposed, the design process and system structure are presented. those key technologies are studied, and the related development technology through the analysis of process of each subsystem is elaborated. The foundation has been established for the application of virtual prototyping technology in tractor modeling design.Based on the reverse engineering, the geometric model of T70 wheeled tractor modeling virtual prototype has been established by using the software of CATIA, so that the foundation has been lied for future tractor modeling virtual prototype analysis. Through the analysis of systems technology above, the tractor modeling design virtual prototype design platform is established, which will provides an effective method for tractor modeling design.
