| ObjectiveThrough setting the model of chronic heat-stressed broilers, the anti-heat stress effects of compound Chinese Herbal Medicine, which is consisted of Radix Astragali, Acanthopanax senticosus and Corydalis yanhusuo, were studied. The vitamin and electrolysis was selected as the control groups. Hope to serve some theoretical and methodological bases for revealing the mechanism of compound Chinese Herbal Medicine in relieving chronic heat stress.MethodsThe protective effect of compound Chinese Herbal Medicine on broiler’s liver was observed by HE staining for pathological tissues. The anti-oxygenation ability of the compound Chinese Herbal Medicine was tested through analyzing SOD activity and MDA contents in serum of broilers. The mRNA levels of HSP70among different groups were analyzed by RT-PCR.ResultsIn this study, we found the compound Chinese medicine could reduce the vacuolation and swelling of liver cell. The activity of SOD was significantly enhanced and the content of MDA was significantly decreased in compound Chinese Herbal Medicine group. The relative mRNA expression analysis showed that there had a significantly down-expression in the treated group and control group. But, there is no significant difference between these two groups.ConclusionThe compound Chinese Herbal Medicine consisted of Radix Astragali, Acanthopanax senticosus and Corydalis yanhusuo showed some significant effects on relieving chronic heat stress, and its mechanism could be reducing the vacuolation and swelling of liver cell, increasing the capacity of eliminating oxygen and down-regulating the expression of HSP70. |
