Pistacia chinensis Bunge is China’s unique biodiesel tree. In order to explore high-quality germplasm and improve fruit yield, I did the survey of fruiting habit and the relationgship between it and nutrient index. Detailed research about the rare types of P. chinensis Bunge was done, artificial pollination test was set in order to explore the fertility of the female and male gametophytes and the cross compatibility between them. The results are below:Firstly, resource types of P. chinensis Bunge here were:dioecious female trees, dioecious male trees, monoecious trees and hermaphrodite trees. Inflorescences borne on the branches were divided in three categories:(1) staminate and pistillate inflorescences borne on different branches of the same tree,(2) staminate and pistillate inflorescences borne on the same branch (3) staminate and pistillate flowers borne in the same inflorescence Four situations of inflorescence formation here:(1) staminate and pistillate flowers formed their own inflorescences,(2) mixed inflorescences,(3) hermaphrodite flower,(4) single-sex flowers and hermaphrodite flower consisted of an inflorescence.Secondly, experiments on fertility and fruit traits showed:that pollen and ovary from monoecious resource were fertile; male tree as male parent, monoecious trees as female parent got bigger fruit than female tree as female parent. P. chinensis Bunge are monoecious or dioecious, gametophytes from different resources were fertile. Maybe female parent influenced merits of fruits, significant correlation exist among transverse diameter, longitudinal diameter and per seed weight of fruit.Thirdly, female trees of dioecious P. chinensis Bunge in Tang County of Hebei Province get the most short fruit braches, more medium long fruit branches and the proportion of long fruit branches occupies the least. Female trees of dioecious P. chinensis Bunge get more medium long fruit branches, the quantity of long fruit branches and short fruit branches are almost the same. The per fruit weight is 0.0869g from short fruit branches fruits;0.0862g of fruits from medium long fruit branches;0.0997g from long fruit branches fruits. A hundred seeds weight of fruit was4.45g. Crude fat of seeds was22.68%, of fruits was33.20%.Fourthly, difference between male branches and fruit branches on most of the nutrient index is obvious from June to September. Difference on soluble suga, starch, N, P and K among different branches got closest approximation.Trend of Cu and Zn among fruit branches could be similar. Content of them of male branches was less than that of fruit branches all the time. Trend of Fe content among fruit branches could be similar from June to September. Content of Mn fluctuated drastically Numerical difference was large among different branches; Content of Ca fluctuated up and down and increased slightly. Content difference was little, but content of Ca from male branches was less than that from fruit branches all the time; The trend of Mg was that increasing at the beginning and then maintained gentle. Numerical difference was little.
