Clinical Study Of The Therapy Of Clearing Lung Heat And Activating Blood Circulation As Well As Easing Cough And Dissolving Phlegm For Pediatric Mycoplasma Pneumonia Due To Phlegm Heat Obstructing Lungs

Objective:to determine the treatment possibility and efficacy of the method of clearing lung, activating blood circulation, relieving cough and resolving phlegm on pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia with the syndrome of phlegm heat obstruction in lung, so as to provide an effective thinking for pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia diagnosis and treatment.Method:60hospitalized mycoplasma pneumonia children with the syndrome of phlegm heat obstruction in lung were included and were divided in two groups. For the treatment group,30patients were given the method of clearing lung, activating blood circulation, relieving cough and resolving phlegm with Azithromycin (Zeqi) for anti-infection treatment; for the control group,30patients were only given the Azithromycin for anti-infection treatment, both of these two groups were symptomatic treatment. The pulmonary signs such as fever, cough, expectoration and shortness of breath and tongue and pulse symptoms were quantified, observe the index changes before and after treatment to evaluate the efficacy, the statistical analysis of the data were carried on.Results:the cured, excellent, improved, and failed cases in the treatment group were16(53.3%),11(36.7%),3(10.0%), and0(0%) respectively; the control group were3(10.0%),14(46.7%),12(40.0%) and1(3.3%) respectively; the difference of cured and excellent cases in two group was statistically significant(P<0.05), the treatment group is better than control group; for the primary symptoms improvement, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), the treatment group is better than control group; for the secondary symptoms improvement such as appetite, capacity for eating, and tongue signs, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), the treatment group is better than control group, for the complexion, spirit, thirst improvement, the comparison result was not statistical significant (P>0.05).Conclusion:the comprehensive clinical efficacy of pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia treated by the method of clearing lung, activating blood circulation, relieving cough and resolving phlegm and Azithromycin combination for anti-infection is better than treated singly by Azithromycin.
